Apprenticeship Awards
Follow the success of three our young apprentices following our programmes in business support, electrical installation and painting and decorating.
Annmarie Benbow
This young apprentice works in a challenging environment as a Business Support Assistant with the Council’s Through Care service.
Annmarie has become a great role model and advocate for all young people and especially children in care.
Working with passion, integrity and determination this apprentice had to face a number of challenges and within one year had not only caught up – she was ahead of her peers. A deserved winner of the recent Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Awards and the 2018 ESL awards.
Joe Steedman
Apprenticeships combine on and off the job learning demands a degree of independence, particularly the electrical installation programme. An ESL 2018 award went to Joe as an apprentice who is an outstanding individual learner and has also helped to motivate his peers.
Joe has been so consistently strong in work and college
he’s doing so well it looks like he’s going to complete his training early. Joe’s talent shines through – he attained an all-time local record high score in passing the Scientific Principles of Electricity exam.
Alex Heal
A young man whose determination and positivity have enabled him to progress from a supported internship programme to a painting and decorating apprenticeship. Alex Heal received an ESL award in 2018.
Through his On Site programme, Alex has developed impressive communication and trade skills. He’s nearing completed his programme and promises to be an exceptional craftsman – well done Alex.
